Rooted firmly in dirty deep funk, the music exhibits a wide range of influences, from the epic progressions of Pink Floyd, to the spun-out electronica of Shpongle/Younger Brother, to the guitar heroics of Hendrix. .

Having played this year's BESTIVAL, and although they currently perform without vocals, Jaberwok will blow you away and will definitely get you dancing!

From Reading: Rock / Alternative / Experimental: THE COLOURS

The Colours are amongst the most exciting young bands to emerge from Reading in recent years.

With a sound that's tighter than Gordon Brown’s wallet, their music is always maturing and in Tom’s vocals they have a true frontman with reassurance and confidence in the effervescent sound the band delivers in the live arena.

"Having wowed us a year ago with the funk of their 1st demo, they return with a whole new spectrum... its got a supple rhythm section - check out the Doves-y drums. Not just better than a Morning Runner, superior to most signed acts out there" John Earls, Planet of Sound, Channel 4

....Something old, something new and something strange. Grim Lake Facility's sound is raw, edgy and energetic. The music twists and turns through loud and soft, fast and slow intervals, extremely powerful at times and at others melodic and atmospheric. The diversity of it all is best experienced live.

Oxford based 4-piece alternative grizzly rock band: BEAR IN THE AIR

Formed October 2005, Bear in the Air have been tucked away in the studio for the past year, just writing and reheasing, and have only just recently started getting out onto the Oxford scene.

With a big thumbs up from rock band ASH, ("these guys sound great!") BITA, the acronym of the full band name, are getting more and more audience acclaim.

"Imagine if the four original Manics were to get huge speed habits and to go busking in a kind of three way face off with Radiohead and Hanoi Rocks...it might sound a bit like this. The Bears, if I can call them that, make a massivly enjoyable racket with proper songs... pretty cool eh?"

"since going to see their first gig i've just wanted to see them play more. A great sound from 4 genuine music loving guys!!! ... "The first thing that struck me was how tight they were, the second thing was that they had class... They need to be listened to. Prolific songwriters in their own rights, the music they write together evokes the Americana of the Southern States, with the swagger of sleazy rock n' roll. Equal parts melancholy and upbeat, firmly rooted in the blues, with plenty of soul, the Dirt complete and open this fabulous line-up.

Their magnetic funk rock sound is taking London by storm and their charismatic live performances are a regular sell-out… Sketchbeat are, without doubt, one of the hottest new bands around."
